“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost more than 300 games. Twenty-six times I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot, and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life…..and that’s why I succeed.” —-Michael Jordan

It really isn’t fear of failure that stops us from trying exciting things. It’s fear of the appearance of failre. It’s the fear of “looking like” a failure. Because if we fail in private, with no one knowing, it doesn’t matter. Does it? So, the problem isn’t really fear of failure is it? It’s fear of appearing to be a failure. So it’s back to living my whole life for the sake of appearances, for the sake of other people liking me and approving me. Fearless people drop all of that. In fact, it’s the FIRST THING they drop forever.
