How is your day guided? Whether you are still in College or in the the midst of a career, ask yourself this one important question. I have heard many coaches talk bout systems, time management, client segmentation, etc., but you still need to get past this one question. My day can be guided by my purpose or it can be guided by my personality.

We constantly read about people who become more accomplished and creative as they grow older. People like Clint Eastwood, Frank Lloyd Wright and others who blossomed in their 70’s and 80’s. They just get on the curve of purpose and stay there. They keep dropping things off their list and become more focused and creative as they move forward. The great ballet director, George Ballatine once said, “I’ve got more energy now than when I was young because I know exactly what I want to do.”

He has more energy now because he knows exactly what he wants to do. When he was younger (like many of us) he had so many things he was trying to do and thinking about doing. He was robbing himself of much needed energy. Its like the old saying, “Winners focus, while losers spray!” This sense of purpose and focus floods me with energy. This single minded purpose gets things done. What is your purpose? Today my purpose is Advisors Ahead; choose yours!
