Nelson Mandela was quoting Marianne Williamson when he said, “Our worst fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? Your playing small does not serve the world. As we let our light shine we consciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Your own way to live creatively is the best way. If I give you my prescription for the creative (not reactive) life, then you could try out my way and reject it. You could say, “I tried that and it didn’t work.” It is easy to reject other people’s ways. It is almost impossible, however, to reject your own way of doing something. Because once you’ve found your own way to be creative, you will use it forever. It won’t go away because it’s yours. You own it. When that time comes, don’t forget to be happy. You are the owner of the human spirit!
